Eyebrows On Fleek.

My entire life I've struggled with my eyebrows. Even from when I was in grade school, everyone used to make fun of me saying "where are your eyebrows?" Its very true though because my eyebrows are VERY faint. You can barely see them. Once I started learning about makeup, I would draw my brows on faithfully everyday. After a while, I started to noticed that this was the longest step to my makeup routine. I read into microbladding and watched numerous amounts of videos and read so many reviews. I was very skeptical in having it done because its basically a tattoo on your face! If I wanted to get it done I would have to find the right person I could trust and pick the perfect shape for my face.

After a while (about a year) of researching and hesitating, I finally decided to get it done. I went to this local place in Houston called MK Brows. The owner, Mia Nguyen is a certified permanent makeup artist, she is also a teacher who trains students to be certified in microbladding. My consultation with her went amazing. She took the time to explain EVERYTHING to me. Then she started to map out my brows. It took a couple of tries because I'm very picky and shes a perfectionist so I thought that was very awesome of her because she was so patient with me. Then after we picked out the perfect shape, She started numbing my brows. It looked really weird LOL so after 30 minutes of letting the numbing cream set, the microbladding process started. I didn't feel a thing! Although my friend who was with me said I was bleeding so much, I didn't feel it AT ALL! All you hear are the sounds of the blade cutting into your skin (which sounds very horrible, but trust me, its painless.) After she was done, It looked amazing! Very dark but that's how its suppose to look like the first few weeks. Before I left, she took the time to go over after care instructions with me and gave me a packet to take home to help me remember. She also gave me this gel to put over my brows a couple times a day to help with the peeling and dryness.

When I got home, the numbing cream wore off so I started to feel soreness, but it was nothing. It just felt like a bruise every time I moved my eyebrows. The soreness went away after the next day. A couple days later, it started the peeling process, which looked nasty and gross, but its suppose to happen to reveal the final look. After about two weeks, my brows were all peeled and I was completely happy and satisfied with how my brows turned out!

I'm suppose to come back in a couple weeks to get it refilled, but I don't think I want to because I'm so happy with how it currently looks. Honestly getting microbladded made my life so much easier. I don't even touch my eyebrows in the morning. On days I wear makeup, it takes me 5 mins to do my face compared to maybe 15 mins in the past when I had to draw on my brows. On days when I'm not wearing makeup I feel more confident because I actually have brows! LOL Below are images throughout my process!

2. Four days after

3. Two weeks

4. One month after (darkened it up a bit because I was taking my grad pics)

5. Currently

I'm writing about my experience because when I was researching in the past, I thought it was a horrible process and It would hurt but its completely different! I highly recommend getting your eyebrows microbladded because it will seriously make your life so much easier!

If you're in the Houston area, I would obviously recommend Mia! Below are her information! Check out her website and social media handles, she might have some good deals going on!
