When Life Gives you Limes, Make Lemonade

I've always love lemonade, especially the ones my grandma used to make for me when I was little. I used to watch her make it so I could learn how to make it for myself. I still used the same recipe until this day. I think its a twist to the normal lemonade you get at American restaurants.

You can usually find lemonade like this at Vietnamese restaurants, but I'm here to share the recipe with you guys so you can make it at home. Its super easy!

Vietnamese Lemonade Recipe:

(I usually just eyeball everything but here are measurements you can go by)

This recipe makes 24 oz of lemonade, so numbers will vary depending on how much you plan to make.

Ingredients:

-2-3 Limes (you can use lemons if you like but I prefer limes)

-6 oz hot water

-4 teaspoon of sugar

-1 pinch of salt

-Ice (to fill up whatever container you will use)

Steps:

1- Mix sugar and salt in hot water (I say 6 oz because I usually use my keurig for hot water). Mix until sugar and salt dissolves. -set aside

2- Fill your container with ice ( I fill it all the way up to the top)

3- Pour hot water/sugar/salt mixture into the ice container; mix

4- Squeeze limes into ice cold water mixture.

(It is crucial that you pour the hot water into the ice first because If you mix limes with the hot water, it will lose its sourness and will taste a little bitter.

5-Mix lemonade mixture together and ENJOY!

Thank you to ECO AT HEART for sending me this amazing straw! They are an amazing company that believes in saving the earth. This straw has a bigger suck hole (that sounds weird, but I don't know the actual word for it... of if there is even a word for it LOL) and the most important thing is, ITS REUSABLE!

Hope you guys try out my recipe!

xoxo,

Ann
