Date Night
What is the "perfect" date night to you?
Honestly, I love going on adventures, being outside and trying new things but sometimes the weather can be very discouraging or you're both just so tired from a long week of work. I just want to sit back, relax and do nothing! My boyfriend surprised me by taking me (us) to get a couple's massage and we had the such a great time relaxing and getting pampered. I think this is a great way to relax and spend some quite time with your significant other.
We went to The Petite Retreat in Houston, TX located in the heights area. From the moment you walk in, the whole experience was amazing. So when we got there, it looked a little "different" from other massage places since its in a house. The house is renovated to become a small "retreat" where you can get massages and treatments. After being greeted at the door, they walk you back into the lounge area where they serve beverages, fruits and snacks. There, you fill out a form to let them know a bit more about your psychical self and where you would like them to focus on during the massage.
Then, they brought us to the actual room where they do the massages, it was set up so cute (with rose petals all over)! The hour long massage went by so quick but it felt so good! The lady that was giving me the massage was so informative and always made sure throughout the whole time that I was comfortable and relaxed. She even gave me tips and instructions for after the massage. Overall, we had an incredible experience and I would definitely recommend this place to not just couples but anyone and everyone! It really is relaxing and soothing, I felt great after!

Other Date Night Ideas:
Relaxing/ Quite Date Night:
-Picnic at the park/dog park! (if the weather is right)
-Staying in and cooking a meal together
-Visit new exhibits at the museum
-Go to the beach extremely early to watch the sunrise
-Go to the beach at night to watch the sunset
-Or BOTH!
-Netflix and Chill
Adventurous/ Loud Date Night:
-Sporting game (my fave is Soccer, Go DYNAMO!)
-Make a list of restaurant the both of you want to try and try to scratch off a name on the list every week
-Take a mini vacay to a nearby city for the weekend or even a day
-Take a class together (Painting With a Twist, Sur La Table cooking class, The Mad Potter)
Side note: Usually the typical answer to "what do you usually do for date night?" is dinner and movies right? I think that's cool and all but its so boring plus, there's not always a "good" movie to watch every week. Also movie tickets are so ridiculously overpriced. So why spend so much money on a movie when you can do cooler things! That's just me though. At the end of the day, whatever you choose to do with your significant other is really up to you guys. As long as the both of you are having a good time and as long as you guys are together, that's all that really matters.
