Bachelorette Trip in Miami

Where do I even begin!? This trip was awesome and spent with the best girls. I wanted to recap my trip and have some tips and tricks for anyone who is planning on having their bach in Miami! First off, I totally recommend going to Miami. I will say, It is on the pricey side since their tax is way higher and they charge a lot of additional tax/fees for pretty much everything especially if you're going to the touristy places. So I would plan accordingly to that. We booked our flight a couple months ahead so we got a pretty good deal, I would recommend booking a couple months before if you are able to, prices will just go up when the date gets closer. We got a rental suburban to fit all of us plus luggages. I would get a rental car to drive around during the day to save money on ubering everywhere. But I would recommend ubering when going out at night. Parking is tough and its crazy pack everywhere, plus if you're drinking, its always safe to just uber. We got an AirBnB, It was perfect. Huge, 4 rooms with their own restrooms, a huge kitchen, living room, pool and back yard area. When booking an AirBnB, I am always careful and only book with Superhosts and of course read all the reviews. I've had a few horrible experiences with AirBnBs before so I just do a lot of research before booking. We flew into Ft. Lauderdale through Southwest Airlines. So I booked the house halfway from the airport to Miami. It was about 20 minute drive both ways so not bad at all. Keep in mind, traffic in Miami is very different, It might take longer than expected to get from place to place.

I've been prepping for this trip for a while. Since I'm not rich I try to diy a lot or find good deals on everything. My MOH and I put together some gifts for the girls. A lot of the usual things like survival kits, bachelorette essentials, and some personalized items. I would recommend checking out Francesca's, they have a lot of bridal and bachelorette items that are super cute! Their clearance section has a lot as well! I got 2 pack of 5 bride/bride tribe heart shape sunglasses for $6. Target dollar section also has cute and affordable things. During the spring time, they usually have bridal/bachelorette items. We also got our matching bathing suits from Target as well! (when all bathing suits were 20% off) I think it was the most affordable compared to other online bridal shops. I would also recommend bringing some games/drinking games to play at the house as well. Honestly, that was the best part of the trip. Being able to spend time with friends and getting to know each other more with a little big of alcohol lmao.

They decorated the entire place while I was asleep! And I woke up to this:

Everything looked perfect!

I would say before you leave, have some kind of itinerary or an idea of where you want to go, what places you want to see, places you want to eat at and what you want to do. I Yelp'd a lot before and bookmarked restaurants I wanted to try. I would say also research clubs/bars as well. Pretty much every club there charges an entrance fee and its not cheap like Houston, so be prepared for that also. I would say, just pick one or maybe 2 max and stay there the entire time. It saves you some money and also Its pretty lit everywhere and the music is constantly good, so no need to club/bar hop especially at night.

The Versace Mansion/ Restaurant (Gianni's) is a must! Go during brunch time, not dinner. Brunch because, the place is beautiful, and You'll take lots of pictures, so brunch time is the best for pictures since there is seating outdoors. I would say, go for the outdoor seating. Also its WAY cheaper for brunch. If you live in Houston, I'm sure you're familiar with Houston Restaurant week so its like the same concept. You pay a flat rate of $29 and you get to pick an appitizer, entree, and desert! The food is so good! And $29 is a lot cheaper than a lot of places during HRW. Make reservations beforehand tho, to avoid any wait time.

We also went to the Sugar Factory, It was my first time! Its so cute and very colorful in there. They have a lot of different kinds of candy, its also a restaurant and bar. We just got a drink from there since they are known for their drinks and it was delicious! The presentation was cool as well. They have a few all around US but if you find one, Stop in for a drink, you won't regret it!

We also went to the beach because you can't go to Miami without going to the beach. It was actually really windy that day so it was a bit chilly and sand was blowing everywhere so we didn't get in the water but we walked along the beach and of course took lots of pictures! The water was clear and nice so if it wasn't too cold, I'm sure it would've been so much fun going in.

Overall, the trip was very memorable and fun. People usually think bachelorette trips are to go get really drunk or to get strippers and do crazy stuff but I think its a time to spend with your closest friends, the girls that will be there for you and stand next to you during your special day. In my opinion, a bachelorette trip is about getting to know one another more, spending time with them, having fun with them and celebrating with them. I had a blast and honestly it actually started to hit me while I was there that I'm getting married very soon and I'm excited but nervous because there is still lots to be done! Follow along with me through my wedding planning. Stay posted for wedding planning tips and diys!

XOXO,
