A Quarantine Wedding

Saturday April 25th, 2020. The day that I was suppose to be walking down the aisle to marry the love of my life in front of all our friends and family and have a big and beautiful celebration of love. It's crazy how life works. The strangeness and events that happen that can cause a shock to all and change everyone's daily life and perspective. The Coronavirus Pandemic has changed everyone's daily life and perspective of everyone's outlook on life and how we handle situations and how we treat each other. So many events had to be canceled/postponed due to the pandemic including our wedding. However, we still wanted to make this day special. We did move our wedding to the summer, so hopefully things get better and we will get to celebrate with all our friends and family but it will suck if we have to move it again.
Throughout these past couple months, it's been extremely rough for me. So the weeks coming up to the stay-at-home order, I was beyond emotional and a complete mess. However, I am extremely blessed to have the best support system. Friends and family constantly texted/called me daily to check up on me. Even friends and family who don't usually talk to me reached out to me to check up on me. I am beyond thankful for everyone I have in my life. Everyone who also looked forward to April 25th, 2020. For my grandparents, I felt like they looked forward to my wedding more than me. I am the first grandchild to get married so it was going to be huge. Every time they saw me, they never forget to tell me how excited they are for our wedding day. Our parents who have done so much for us throughout the whole wedding planning process. My mom worked countless hours to help me do diy projects for decorations. Our family who were there for us if we needed any help with anything. And of course all of our friends who made each day a little better by just being there for us and helping us out in any way they can.
We wanted to make April 25th special by thanking all of our friends and family who have gone above and beyond for us without any hesitation. I made special baskets and packages for our grandparents, parents and bridal party to thank them for all they have done. I included snacks and drinks to cheer them up during this strange time. It took us about 2 days to deliver all the packages to everyone (we did a no-contact delivery) It was nice to see everyone from far away. We also hosted virtual happy hours with everyone to celebrate our special day.
Although April 25th did not end up being how I had pictured it a year and a half ago but I'm glad we made the best out of the situation and most of all made our friends and family feel happy during this pandemic. We want to thank everyone who made April 25th special for us, we have received so much love, prayers and gifts from our friends and family.

My dress is actually borrowed from my sister (she wore it for her graduation last year) I had no time to order a dress and I don't like ordering white dresses online because I won't know if they are sheer or not.
